The Raleigh School was inspected by Ofsted in March 2024 and continues to be an Outstanding school.

Inspectors recognised the school as a place where pupils thrive academically, socially and emotionally. The report highlights the strong sense of belonging experienced by pupils, alongside the school’s high expectations and inclusive culture. Pupils were noted to be confident, respectful and highly engaged in their learning, with behaviour described as exemplary.

The inspection found that the school’s curriculum is carefully designed and sequenced to ensure that pupils build secure knowledge and skills over time. Teaching was recognised within the report to be highly effective, with staff demonstrating strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of how pupils learn. As a result, pupils achieve exceptionally well across the curriculum, including in reading, writing and mathematics.

Inspectors also recognised the richness of school life at The Raleigh, including the wide range of enrichment opportunities, strong pastoral support and meaningful pupil leadership roles. The school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development, wellbeing and understanding of diversity was highlighted as a strength.
