Trips

Trips

We take every opportunity to explore our local environment both within the school grounds and beyond. These educational activities and visits give the children valuable first-hand experience and expand their world.

The cost of school visits within the school day is met by the school. However, we do ask for 'voluntary contributions' whenever these trips take place. If there are insufficient contributions then the trip may have to be cancelled.

Residential Field Studies Trips

The school runs three very successful residential trips during the school year for Years 4-6.

Year Four

In the Summer term Year Four visit Marchants Hill at the PGL Centre in Hindhead. Here they stay in a fully equipped educational centre which offers an extensive range of activities for the children to enjoy.  Incorporated into this residential, is a day visit to Fishbourne Roman Palace

Year Five

The children in Year Five enjoy their visit to the PGL Centre at Osmington Bay, Dorset. Incorporated into this residential is a day visit to Door.  This residential enhances the Year 5 Coastal Topic.

Year Six

In the Summer term Year Six visit the PGL Centre at Barton Hall in Torquay. Incorporated into this residential are visits to the Golden Hinde and the RNLI station both located at Brixham Harbour. In addition, there are visits to the English Riviera Wheel and beachfront at Torquay. These visits link to their geography and history topics.
