Festive Fun Across the School

The final weeks of term were filled with festive fun as pupils across The Raleigh School enjoyed a range of Christmas events that brought our whole community together.

Our Christmas Fair was a highlight of the season. Families enjoyed a magical grotto experience alongside a variety of festive stalls in the school hall. The atmosphere was made even more special by parents and staff who volunteered their time with enough festive sparkle to bring joy to even the greatest Scrooge! A huge thanks goes to the Friends of the Raleigh for creating a truly joyful experience for the children.

Christmas lunch was a special moment for every child. Pupils enjoyed their festive meal alongside their friends, served by their teachers, creating a warm and inclusive experience that reflected the importance of relationships and belonging. For many children, sharing this moment together is a lasting and meaningful memory of the school year.

Festive celebrations continued in year group festive events tailored to each age group. Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed traditional Christmas parties, while Year 3 and Year 4 took part in a Christmas carousel of activities designed to promote teamwork, creativity and fun. Year 5 and Year 6 rounded off the celebrations with a Christmas quiz, encouraging collaboration, thinking and friendly competition.

These events gave children time to enjoy being together, strengthen friendships and mark the end of term in a positive and relaxed way. We are very grateful to our staff, families and volunteers for helping to make the festive season such a happy time for our school community.
