Community
'The Raleigh School is an integral part of the local community. Pupils develop a deep understanding of how they can contribute positively locally and globally.' Ofsted 2024
Community is at the heart of life at The Raleigh. We are proud to be a school where children are valued as part of our school, the local and worldwide community. Our children are supported by staff who know them well and encouraged by a school culture that values kindness, responsibility and connection.
Our sense of community runs through everything we do. Within school, children look after one another, with older pupils helping younger ones to settle in and grow in confidence. Every class takes part in a ‘good deed’ project each year, reaching out to support others in the local area. We also look beyond our school, exploring what it means to be part of a global community and how we can all make a positive difference. Our diverse range of assemblies and workshops teach pupils the importance of respect and tolerance of others, valuing everybody for their contribution to our community.
We actively welcome parents, carers and members of the wider community into school life. Whether it’s helping out in the classroom, sharing a skill or story, joining a trip, or supporting events, volunteers play a valued and important role at The Raleigh. These partnerships enrich our children’s learning and strengthen the sense of community that is so integral to life at The Raleigh.
If you are a member of our local community and looking to become involved with the school, we'd love to hear from you. Please contact the school office and we will be in touch.
